The sentencing was carried out by Judge Christopher Abel and ensured that Miller will remain behind bars for the rest of his life.
Lawson Miller, Sr., a convicted child rapist, has been sentenced to life without parole for three heinous sexual offenses
The charges against child rapist Miller were proven during his trial in May and include Rape in the First Degree of a child less than 12, Rape in the First Degree by Forcible Compulsion, and Incest. Disturbingly, the evidence presented by the State revealed a horrifying pattern of sexual abuse, as child rapist Miller had repeatedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a child aged between 10 to 13, who was under his care.
The nature of the evidence was deeply incriminating. Authorities discovered child rapist Miller’s semen both on the inside and outside of the child’s undergarments, along with another separate pair of leggings, linking him to the abhorrent acts.
Marshall County District Attorney Jennifer Bray emphasized that child rapist Miller received the maximum penalty for each offense
Due to the victim’s age being less than 12 years old, child rapist Miller received a life sentence for that crime. Additionally, he received another life sentence for committing rape with forcible compulsion and an additional 10-year sentence for the act of incest.
The prosecution’s success in securing these severe sentences sends a clear message that child rapists will face the full force of the law and be kept away from society to protect innocent children from such appalling acts. The community can now find some solace in knowing that this child rapist will never have the chance to harm another child again.
