A gang of luxury car thieves is wreaking havoc in Queens and Brooklyn, leaving homeowners in shock and police on high alert

However, their audacious exploits have extended to Bayside, Jamaica Estates, Bay Ridge, Holliswood, and Manhattan Beach as well.

Their illicit escapade commenced on June 2 near Point Crescent, with the initial three burglaries resulting in narrow escapes, as homeowners bravely confronted the luxury car thieves or triggered alarms. July saw a shift in fortune for the crooks, who struck gold during a nine-day marathon of thefts, successfully fleeing the scene in all but two instances.

During their July crime spree, the luxury car thieves made off with lavish loot, including an Audi SUV, a BMW sedan and SUV, a Range Rover SUV, a Porsche, a Mercedes Benz sedan, a Genesis sedan, and another unspecified four-door sedan. The law enforcement agencies managed to recover three of the stolen vehicles.

Their most recent caper unfolded on August 2 at 1:50 a.m. when three luxury car thieves infiltrated a residence on Coleridge St. and Oriental Blvd. in Manhattan Beach

Inside, they ransacked the property, snatching jewelry and clothing, before making a swift getaway in a stolen Benz and a pilfered BMW SUV, heading north on Coleridge St.

While luxury car thieves have seen a notable decline of nearly 11% across the city this year, with 9,096 reported incidents as of August 27 compared to 10,209 during the same period last year, luxury car thieves have witnessed a staggering 19% surge. As of August 27, a total of 10,334 auto thefts were recorded, a significant jump from 8,669 in the corresponding period the previous year. The search for these luxury car thieves intensifies as residents remain vigilant in these turbulent times.
