Lori Vallow Daybell, who arrived in Maricopa County overnight from Idaho, faced early Thursday morning booking on two first-degree murder charges, officials confirmed

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs had previously urged for the extradition of Lori Vallow Daybell following her conviction in Idaho for the killings of her two youngest children, 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan. The request came after Lori Vallow Daybell was found guilty in May, and she also faced charges of conspiring to kill Tammy Daybell, her fifth husband’s former wife.

The Arizona governor sought to bring Lori Vallow Daybell to face additional legal proceedings in Arizona, underscoring the complexity of the case that involves multiple serious charges related to the tragic events and alleged conspiracies.

Following three consecutive life sentences, Lori Vallow Daybell was indicted in Arizona once again

The charges allege her involvement in a conspiracy to murder her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux. Notably, she had previously faced charges in Arizona in 2021, indicted by a grand jury for plotting to kill her fourth husband, Charles Vallow.

In her initial appearance before a Maricopa County judge on Thursday morning, Lori Vallow Daybell sought information about the handling of both cases, the number of appointed attorneys, and when she could engage with them. Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone declared that she would be held in isolation due to the high-profile nature of the case.
