The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Nevada announced Caleb Rogers’ arrest and charges, which include “interference with commerce by robbery” and “brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.”
Las Vegas police officer Caleb Rogers, aged 35, is currently on trial for his alleged involvement in three separate casino heists, where a total of $164,000 was stolen
According to the complaint, on February 27, 2022, Caleb Rogers entered a Las Vegas casino and threatened employees in the sportsbook area, proclaiming Caleb Rogers had a gun and would shoot them. However, when the employees activated an alarm, Caleb Rogers fled towards the parking garage, only to be tackled by a casino security officer. In a desperate attempt to escape, Caleb Rogers drew his revolver and aimed it at the security officer, threatening to shoot. Fortunately, other security officers were able to disarm and restrain Caleb Rogers until Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers arrived to make the arrest.
Further investigations revealed that Caleb Rogers, a seven-year veteran of the Las Vegas police force, allegedly carried out two additional heists between November 2021 and January 2022, stealing over $85,000 from off-Strip casinos.

Caleb Rogers’ defense attorney, Richard Pocker, argued that there is insufficient evidence linking his client to two of the heists and claimed that the FBI and Las Vegas police detectives coerced witnesses, including Caleb Rogers’ own brother, into falsely identifying him as the culprit. Casino heists are notoriously challenging to execute successfully, as surveillance technology, including high-quality cameras, has significantly improved in recent years, making it increasingly likely for thieves to be caught and identified.
Throughout the investigation, Caleb Rogers maintained that nothing could have been done to prevent the robberies, according to a Metro detective. As the trial unfolds, both the prosecution and the defense will present their evidence and arguments in front of the court, aiming to establish the truth behind Caleb Rogers’ alleged involvement in these audacious casino heists.
