Among all the cities in Florida, Lake City was announced as the most dangerous city and the least recommended city in the state to relocate or live in, with its high crime rate due to a lack of opportunities in the city.
Riviera Beach followed Lake City as the most dangerous city in Florida, with high poverty and unemployment, believed to be some factors of a high crime rate, including murder, in the area.
Other Florida cities, including Cocoa, Florida City, Lake Worth, Homestead, Daytona Beach, Lauderhill, Orlando, and Tallahassee, followed Lake City and Riviera Beach as the worst cities to stay or live in Florida, according to Southwest Journal.

Lake City and Other Florida Cities Considered as Most Dangerous Cities Due to High Crime Rates and Other Issues
Due to high crime rates and issues in economic development, Lake City and other cities were considered the most dangerous cities in Florida amidst calls to provide support programs to address different problems.
Aside from the most dangerous cities in Florida, Lake City has a counterpart as the safest city in the state, the Sweetwater, followed by Naples, Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, and Satellite Beach, which had low crime rates reported this year.
