After an attack overnight, an extensive police scene continues to be active in the 4600 block of Kostoryz.
Upon arriving at the scene just after 12:20 a.m., police discovered a 39-year-old man who had been shot, based on Corpus Christi Police Department authorities. He suffered life-threatening wounds and was taken urgently to a nearby hospital.
A 21-year-old woman with an injury from a gunshot entered a hospital at about the same time, according to officials.
The scene was visited by detectives from the division that handles homicides and robberies. According to authorities, it wasn’t clear that the victims were connected. The crime scene included “a block or 2,” according to Senior Officer Antonio Contreras.
