Kaitlin Armstrong is accused of killing cyclist Anna Moriah “Mo” Wilson in a case linked to a reported love triangle

Wilson was found dead on May 11, 2022, after spending time with Armstrong’s boyfriend. National media, including NBC and ESPN, have descended upon Austin’s “Lawyer District” to cover the trial. Prosecutor Rickey Jones presented evidence suggesting that a gun found at Kaitlin Armstrong’s residence matched shell casings at the crime scene.

Jones emphasized a chilling detail: “The last thing Mo did on this earth was scream in terror.” This quote garnered attention from outlets such as the New York Post and CNN.

In contrast, Taylor’s trial, involving the fatal shooting of Michael Ramos by a police officer, has not received the same level of national attention. The trial, which began on October 23, is part of a series of cases addressing police violence, a key focus for progressive District Attorney José Garza. Local TV reporters in Austin have diligently covered the proceedings.
