The 25-year-old player remained composed as the verdicts were read but expressed his gratitude to the panel when given the opportunity by the judge.
In his statement, Josh Sills thanked his family for their unwavering support, asserting his innocence and relief that the truth prevailed. Defense attorney Michael Connick emphasized that the verdict brought an end to a nearly four-time fire for the Sills family, particularly for Josh Sills.
The allegations against Josh Sills were brought to light on January 31, when a county grand jury indicted the Ohio native, accusing him of engaging in non-consensual sexual activity and unlawfully detaining a woman on December 5, 2019.

During the legal proceedings, Josh Sills’ status in the NFL was affected, and he was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list, preventing him from practicing, playing, or traveling with the Eagles while they prepared for the Super Bowl matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Now, with the acquittal, the Philadelphia Eagles have officially reinstated Josh Sills to their active roster, allowing him to continue his career in professional football.
