The Worleys had to temporarily store their belongings when their newly purchased house in Cherokee Village wasn’t ready for occupancy.
John Worley and his family, who recently relocated from Colorado to Cherokee Village, Arkansas, are seeking assistance following a break-in at their storage unit
John Worley shared his family’s predicament, stating that they utilized a storage unit owned by his mother in Imboden. To facilitate their move from Colorado, they made multiple trips between the two states. Unfortunately, on Thursday, October 19, when John Worley and his family returned to their storage unit, they were met with a disheartening sight the lock had been tampered with.
John Worley described his emotions upon discovering the situation, expressing his initial reluctance to open the unit’s door, hoping against hope that their possessions remained intact. However, his optimism was shattered when he found the unit thoroughly plundered, with all their belongings from Colorado gone.
Among the items stolen were precious family heirlooms, some of which held sentimental value spanning decades
Presently, the Worley family finds themselves with only a single suitcase of clothing. They are appealing for assistance and are also hopeful that surveillance cameras may help identify the culprits. While John Worley acknowledged that clothes can be replaced, he implored the person responsible to return their belongings, emphasizing the profound significance of their possessions to his family.
Sheriff Waldrup, from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, urged anyone with information about this incident to contact the sheriff’s office. John Worley and his family remain hopeful that their cherished items will be recovered and justice will be served.
