On Friday, September 29, Las Vegas police detained Duane “Keefe D” Davis in connection with the 1996 slaying of Tupac Shakur. Davis was accused of one crime of murder with an offensive weapon and 1 count of aiding, abetting, or promoting a criminal group. A few hours later, Jada Pinkett, the illustrious rapper’s childhood pal, offered her opinion on the situation.
“Now I’m hoping we will receive some clarification and closure. She posted a tribute to Pac on her Insta Stories. Years went without any indictments, and 2Pac’s murder appeared to be doomed to remain a cold case for all time at one point.
While they were both students at the Baltimore School for the Arts, 2Pac and Pinkett developed a personal bond that lasted until his death.
