On Saturday, a blast of extreme weather drove severe thunderstorms, golf-ball-sized hail, and a minimum of one proven tornado to areas of Florida, according to authorities and locals. Around 75 miles north of Miami, in South Florida, the city of Palm Beach Gardens, the tornado made landfall in the afternoon, twirling cars, lifting trees, and bringing down power lines all over the region.
Fire authorities did help with hospital transfers in other places even though they claimed there were no reported casualties associated with the storm in Palm Beach Gardens.
In a post on Facebook, the city noted that “many highways were closed with garbage and fallen trees” on Saturday night and that there had been “roof destruction, slight structure harm to properties, plenty of trees fallen, and a bunch of automobile loss.”
Additionally, the city posted pictures of the storm’s tragedy. In one, there was a car crash in a parking garage, and in two, enormous trees and light poles were lying on the ground over many lanes of a busy highway.
