I don’t want you anymore- Cherry Glazerr

L.A.’s Cherry Glazerr refreshes their classic reverb rock garage pop with contemporary innovative and pop tastes on their 5th album, their 1st in 4 years, with magnificent results. I Don’t Want You Anymore represents the concept of a course correction by avoiding some of the mistakes of earlier albums. It’s the ideal music for dancing catharsis, getting over someone, and going beneath someone else.

Cherry Glazerr’s Clementine Creevy has remained an honest reflection of the state of indie rock for almost ten years. The breezy garage pop of Best Coast, which ruled a lot of the 1st half of the previous decade, was evident in Haxel Princess (2014).

Although 2019’s Stuffed & Ready foreshadowed the ’90s rock revival that was to bring us bands like Soccer Mommy with its Liz Phair vocals and sheets of forceful, screaming guitars, Apocalipstick (2017) turned to glammy femme-forward hedonism.
