The Houston region may finally experience rain soon after weeks of drought that were made harsher by a summer of such scorching heat.
Based on specialists at Space City Weather, the likelihood of major rainfall between Wednesday and Saturday has grown over the past few days. The Space City crew talked about a potential rainfall buildup of between 0.5 and 1 inch throughout the weekend previously this week.
Yet, Space City Weather’s Eric Berger stated in his estimate for Wednesday morning that “dependent upon current modeling it is currently likely that several places might get beyond this,” including that “generally, that might be a wonderful thing since a lot of the area is still in an unusual or severe drought.”
The exact amount of rain expected to fall and the areas that will see the most flooding are unknown.
