Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan subpoenaed Georgia’s Fani Willis, the district attorney for Fulton County, on Friday. Willis had earlier that day acknowledged that she had a “personal relationship” with one of the senior prosecutors in her investigation against the former president Donald Trump.

The GOP leader is reportedly requesting documents from Willis about the termination of a whistleblower who purportedly tried to prevent a campaign support from utilising federal funds for the DA’s investigation into Trump’s purported attempts to rig the 2020 election, based on information the committee shared on social media.

According to Jordan’s lawsuit, Willis, a Democrat, has twice declined to give him the information he requested.
