Honduras President Xiomara Castro announced the implementation of stricter security measures following the consecutive brutal massacres and violence related to drug trafficking in the country.
According to a report from AP News, the Honduran president decided to impose stricter security measures after eleven people were brutally murdered in a gunfire Saturday night due to drug-related issues, which officials confirmed.
The Honduran president announced stricter security measures, including curfews from 9 o’clock p.m. to 4 o’clock a.m., continuous raids, and checkpoints that will be imposed 24 hours a day to ensure the safety of all the residents in different parts of the country.

Honduran President Announces Stricter Security Measures to Prisons Following Murders of 46 Female Inmates Over Drug-Related Cases
Aside from the brutal shooting incident, the Honduran president also announced implementing stricter security measures in prisons after gang members brutally murdered 46 female inmates.
With the increasing killings inside various prisons, the Honduran president saw the need to impose stricter security measures by preventing the entry of drugs and weapons inside to ensure the safety of the prisoners.
