The FBI compiles data from all over the country each year to compile a list of the most hazardous American cities. The government notifies citizens of the most dangerous cities in every state according to data from 10,000 per capita statistics of “offenses recognized to law enforcement.”
Even while crime rates in Ohio as a whole are still somewhat below the national average, several Ohio cities nevertheless experience crime. According to popular belief, Cleveland or one of Ohio’s larger cities, such as Columbus, is not the state’s most hazardous city. Canton, Ohio’s eighth-largest city, is rated as the state’s most dangerous city.
