In an interview with the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office, a man identified as Ryan Manigo, 33, a resident of Green Pond, South Carolina, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

A sheriff’s office source informed WCIV, a local ABC affiliate of Green Pond, South Carolina, that one of the victims ferociously suffered stab wounds before the house was engulfed by the flames.

Family members of the victims, including David Magwood, identified his 101-year-old mother died in the fire.

Shamia Rutledge, a local resident of Green Pond, South Carolina, informed the press that her 7-year-old was among the unfortunate victims. “The whole family is still shocked and in disbelief”, Rutledge said.
