Former Wife of Gilgo Beach Suspect Battling with Breast and Skin Cancer Claims She Knew Nothing About His Crimes

The former wife of the Gilgo Beach suspect, identified as Asa Ellerup, who was battling with breast and skin cancer, claimed she and her children knew nothing about the crimes of her husband, Rex Heuermann, wherein the Gilgo Beach suspect was accused of murdering several women before dumping their lifeless bodies near their home.

According to a report published in The Daily Beast, the former wife of the Gilgo Beach suspect divorced him immediately after learning about his terrible crimes due to damages that the arrest of the Gilgo Beach suspect had done to their family and refused to visit her husband since his arrest.

Following the arrest of the Gilgo Beach suspect, his former wife’s insurance is nearly expiring, which will harm more the current financial struggles the Gilgo Beach suspect’s family has been facing, especially with his former wife’s battle with breast and skin cancer.

Victims’ Families Urge Public Not to Donate in GoFundMe to Fund Treatment of Gilgo Beach Suspect’s Former Wife

With the Gilgo Beach suspect’s former wife suffering from breast and skin cancer, their family set up a GoFundMe to get assistance to fund her treatment; however, the victims’ families urged the public not to donate any amount to her.

Critics also claimed that the family of the Gilgo Beach suspect was not the victim, and people were not obligated to help them with the consequences brought by the Gilgo Beach suspect’s crimes, New York Post reported.
