A suspect has been arrested in connection with the recent string of stabbings that occurred near UC Davis in California

This comes after 15 people reported seeing a person who matched the suspect’s description in Sycamore Park, where one of the stabbings occurred. Dominguez had allegedly admitted to at least one of the stabbings, although the police did not confirm this. He was found to be in possession of a large knife when he was initially arrested, and he was still wearing the same clothes as during the third stabbing attack, which took place two days earlier. The suspect was interviewed for many hours by detectives before being charged.

Dominguez had been a UC Davis student until April 25, when he was separated for academic reasons. Police are still investigating a possible motive for the stabbings and are searching Dominguez’s residence for evidence.

Three people were stabbed, two fatally, near the UC Davis campus within the last two weeks

David Breaux, 50, was found with multiple stab wounds in a local park on April 27, while UC Davis student Karim Abou-Najm, 20, was killed in a different park about a mile north of campus two days later. The third victim, Kimberly, was found suffering from multiple stab wounds at a homeless encampment near the college campus on Monday. Dominguez appeared to have slashed open her tent and stabbed her multiple times.

It is still unclear if Dominguez knew any of the victims, and police are investigating whether he had any previous criminal history. Davis Police Chief Darren Pytel said that Dominguez’s actions could qualify him as a serial killer.
