On Friday, Ukrainian sea drones targeted a significant Russian naval facility, causing a destroyed Russian battleship to be listed in the Black Sea. This daring attack took place a few kilometers from Ukrainian-held territory.
When it was being pulled close to the base at Novorossiysk, Russia’s biggest port, stunning social media videos revealed the vessel, an amphibious Russian landing ship, tilting significantly and lying extremely low in the water.
The incident occurs amid escalating Black Sea tensions and increased Ukrainian attacks on Russian targets following President Volodymr Zelensky’s promise to “return” the conflict to Russian soil.
According to a Ukrainian insider who spoke to CNN, the ship was struck by a naval drone holding around 1,000 pounds of TNT and had approximately 100 Russian personnel on board.
