Florida couple arrested identified as Jamie Buteau and Jennifer Buteau pleaded guilty to assaulting and resisting police officers during the US Capitol riot, wherein the Florida couple arrested participated in the attack towards the Capitol with thousands of rioters.
According to a report published in US News, the riot where the Florida couple arrested joined started due to the presidential election fraud claims favoring former president Donald Trump, and the Florida couple arrested decided to join other rioters to express their disagreement with President Joe Biden’s winning.
The Florida couple arrested reportedly forcefully entered the building with other rioters and helped in attacking the police officers, and witnesses claimed that the Florida couple arrested threw a chair, hitting a police officer, which led to the couple’s arrest.
