In August 2021, Destinee Thompson was expected to be en route for a meal along with her stepmom until Colorado police mistakenly thought she had been a suspect in a burglary and tragically shot the pregnant woman as she escaped in her van.

Thompson’s family, who were disappointed by the district attorney’s choice this past year never to charge the cops, issued an unfair death and unlawful force lawsuit on Tuesday toward the 5 Denver suburb of Arvada officers that had been present while she was killed.

The Father of Destinee, Francis Thompson, declared, “I need their badges.” She stands five feet tall and is 7 months pregnant. You’re an adult, and that threatens you? You have no right to be allowed to carry a badge.

“She tried to flee the location out of fear, he said to CBS News Colorado. She had been murdered, to put it simply.”
