Families of migrants feel helpless at Floyd Bennett Field Tent Shelter as strong winds and rainfall cause damage

At Floyd Bennett Field, where there was a large tent encampment, strong winds, and rainfall they have caused chaos that kept hundreds of migrant families from sleeping peacefully and made their scared children very unhappy. Early on Monday morning, a series of wild altercations broke out among the camp’s occupants and officials due to this disturbing circumstance.

2 families have talked about how they were compelled to abandon the shelter during the storm. They described how they had to risk the wind and rain to return to the Roosevelt Hotel in the very early hours of the morning with their kids. City officials, however, have refuted these allegations and asserted that nobody was forced to leave.
