A carjacking suspect was in police custody last Tuesday night after Denver police enforcers chased him. The carjacking suspect rode the stolen vehicle and crashed into multiple cars on Interstate 70.
The chase of the carjacking suspect vehicle ended up crashing multiple vehicles.
Denver Police officers said they received a call at about 4 p.m. that a carjacking happened near Colfax and Race Street in Denver, and the carjacking suspect rode the stolen car. It was unknown if the carjacking suspect was armed at the time of the crime.
Eventually, Denver Police officers saw the stolen car at W 46th Ave and Xavier Streets and chased the carjacking suspect. The chase of the carjacking suspect ended before ending up on I-70 eastbound. Ultimately, the carjacking suspect in the stolen car led police officers back onto I-70 eastbound before the crash.
According to CBS news, Colorado State Patrol confirmed that at about 5:10 p.m., a call was reported for a multi-vehicle crash involving the carjacking suspect being chased in I-70 and 6th Ave in Jefferson County.

The carjacking suspect is arrested and now in police custody
Denver Police Officers were investigating the carjacking and brought the carjacking suspect into police custody. There was no report of injuries in the initial crash police investigation. No police officers were reported hurt caused by the carjacking suspect.
Police encouraged that Drivers must avoid the exit for 6th Ave. Drivers if they could because it will remain closed for several hours.
No confirmation of the identity of the carjacking suspect yet and the total number of vehicles involved in the crash during the chase of the carjacking suspect.
