Responding to a two-vehicle collision in Arlington, law enforcement was summoned to the scene.
In a dramatic incident involving a stolen ambulance chase, a Virginia State Police pursuit unfolded on August 12th
While one driver was transported to a medical facility, the other absconded from the crash site in a truck that had been reported stolen from Falls Church, Virginia.
The truck, driven by a 30-year-old Maryland man, resurfaced in a matter of minutes of a stolen ambulance chase, triggering another collision involving multiple vehicles. Subsequently, the truck’s driver abandoned it and fled on foot, only to commandeer another truck which he recklessly drove against traffic on the parkway, colliding with yet another vehicle stolen ambulance chase. Astonishingly, the same Maryland man was behind the wheel.
During this stolen ambulance chase, an ambulance en route to the initial crash encountered the second collision and halted to provide assistance. Seizing the opportunity from a stolen ambulance chase, the man leaped from the second stolen truck into the ambulance, igniting a high-speed stolen ambulance chase with Virginia State Police in pursuit. As troopers closed in, the thief rammed the stolen ambulance into their patrol car, escaping again.
The audacious escapade continued as the stolen ambulance darted onto I-395 and ventured into Washington, D.C.
Ultimately, the chase concluded when the driver crashed head-on into a parked car, allowing law enforcement to apprehend him. Throughout the chase, the stolen ambulance careened into numerous vehicles and even struck the trooper’s patrol car multiple times. Remarkably, no severe injuries were reported among the victims or officers involved.
The 30-year-old man now faces a litany of charges from both federal and local authorities, pending state charges. The remarkable stolen ambulance chase originated in Arlington County, situated across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C.
