Local residents, including Carol Brown of Ballston Spa, have been on edge since the Amber Alert was issued. Brown, who resides near the spot where Charlotte Sena was found, concealed in a trailer behind the suspect’s mother’s residence, expressed her relief, saying, “I’ve been praying for 48 hours.” Brown vividly recalls the sudden surge of police activity in her once-quiet neighborhood.
Charlotte, though shaken, was thankfully found in sound physical health. Craig Ross Jr. was apprehended by a swift response from a local SWAT team.

Governor Kathy Hochul emphasized that Craig Ross Jr. inadvertently sealed his own fate by personally delivering a ransom note to the girl’s home and leaving behind a crucial piece of evidence: his own fingerprint. This print swiftly led law enforcement to the suspect. Witnesses describe the jubilation among first responders when Charlotte was discovered unharmed.
Regarding Craig Ross Jr., Brown revealed a prior unsettling encounter her family had with him earlier in the summer. She recounted an incident where she found Craig Ross Jr. standing closely over her young grandson, prompting her to confront him. Brown believes that, given recent events, her grandson narrowly escaped a similar fate.
