The 18-year-old shooter in Farmington, New Mexico, who murdered 3 individuals and injured 6 others, involving 2 police officers, used 3 weapons, the city’s police chief stated in a video press conference on Monday.
The attacker, who was murdered by responding authorities, went a quarter-mile area across a neighborhood on Monday morning, according to Police Chief Steve Hebbe. He also used 2 other firearms.
The shooter injured 2 law enforcement officers and 4 civilians and murdered 3 persons. Before coming across Farmington Police officers just after 11 a.m. MDT, he fired a minimum of 6 houses and 3 cars.
The chief claimed that the attack appeared random.
No churches, schools, or people were targeted, he added, observing that it seemed the attacker fired at something that “passed his head.”
Seven people were seen at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, according to spokeswoman Laura Werbner’s email to CNN. Werbner stated that she was unable to remark on the patients’ health.
