The ordeal began when deputies responded to a distress call involving an off-duty constable deputy who was allegedly assaulted. Further inquiries by officials shed light on the suspect, Christina Pabon, who was engaged in a heated verbal altercation with another woman at the scene. Matters took a grave turn when the off-duty deputy attempted to approach Christina Pabon’s vehicle, at which point Christina Pabon made an ill-fated attempt to escape, dragging the deputy through the parking lot.
