A 42-year-old man, identified as Chance Willis, found himself in custody after being apprehended in Gardena for allegedly kidnapping a teenager from Moreno Valley
The troubling event took place in the 12000 block of Frederick Street in Moreno Valley. According to authorities, a teenage girl encountered Chance Willis near the aforementioned location. Reportedly, Chance Willis coerced her into an involuntary journey to Gardena. Responding to this critical situation, officers from the Gardena Police Department promptly intervened, rescuing the distressed teenager and detaining Chance Willis.

Chance Willis, a Gardena resident, was officially arrested on suspicion of kidnapping. He was later confined to the Robert Presley Detention Center, where he remains detained on a $250,000 bail.
