A California stabbing suspect identified as Robert Baker was sentenced to life in prison after killing a 49-year-old Canadian haircare executive, Fabio Sementilli, in his backyard.
According to authorities, the California stabbing suspect stabbed the Canadian haircare executive several times in his home’s backyard together with the victim’s wife, wherein authorities believed that the California stabbing suspect and the victim’s wife planned the murder to get the life insurance money of the Canadian haircare executive.
Authorities initially ruled the victim’s death as a result of burglary, but as soon as they found the California stabbing suspect’s DNA at the crime scene, they immediately investigated the case as murder with Baker as the primary California stabbing suspect.
California Stabbing Suspect Plans Murdering Canadian Haircare Executive to Get Victim’s Life Insurance Money
During the investigation, authorities accused the California stabbing suspect of planning the brutal murder of the Canadian haircare executive to get the victim’s life insurance money worth over $1 million, People reported.
The victim’s wife was later accused of having an affair with the California stabbing suspect, which prompted them to conduct the murder; however, she pleaded not guilty to being involved with the case following the conviction of the California stabbing suspect.
