California Man Sentenced to Up to Life in Prison After Being Convicted of 1996 Memorial Day Weekend Murder Case

The California man sentenced to 25 years to life in prison named Paul Flores after being found guilty of murdering a 19-year-old student who went missing during the 1996 Memorial Day weekend, wherein authorities have been suspecting the California man sentenced for over two decades.

According to a CBS News published report, the California man sentenced initially denied his involvement in the disappearance and murder of Kristin Smart, who went missing from their campus, and the California man sentenced claimed that he got a black eye when playing with his friends and later changed it and said he hit his head on his car.

The California man sentenced was convicted of murdering and attempted raping the 19-year-old student inside his dorm at the California college university, where the California man sentenced and the victim studied in 1996 as witnesses claimed that the victim was last seen with the California man sentenced.

Despite the California man sentenced being convicted, the remains were never found and the victim‘s family and friends were left looking for justice and answers on why the California man sentenced to up to life murdered the victim.

Apart from the California man sentenced, his father was also arrested for being an accessory to murdering the 19-year-old student, but he was found not guilty, NPR reported.
