During the disturbance in the California Juvenile Hall, seven inmates launched an attack on staff members, breaking open a door and window in the process. Additionally, an 18-year-old briefly managed to escape and was later apprehended on a nearby golf course before being transferred to the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the event in the California Juvenile Hall.
As a response to the incident, the involved individuals were placed in separate rooms to restore order and prevent further disruptions. Notably, the California Juvenile Hall had recently reopened after officials approved a plan in May to consolidate young inmates, with the aim of providing a more focused approach to rehabilitation.
