In the latest update from Calexico Police Department, authorities are actively seeking information on at least four individuals involved in a recent shooting incident, where a stray bullet breached a residence occupied by inhabitants
Eyewitnesses reported approximately four gunshots. According to Alexander Hernandez, a representative from the Calexico Police Department, a confrontation erupted between two groups, culminating in gunfire. Hernandez from the Calexico Police Department stated, “Verbal exchanges escalated, leading to gunfire. Fortunately, no injuries were sustained.” The suspect wielded a semi-automatic handgun, leaving behind three discernible shell casings.
Hernandez from the Calexico Police Department further emphasized the gravity of the situation, highlighting that children were outdoors, and engaged in recreational activities, and families were gathered for dinner at the time of the incident. The trajectory of one bullet traversed through a studio garage, ultimately reaching a kitchen area, posing a potential threat to the occupants within.
Remarkably, no injuries were reported as a consequence of the shooting as per the Calexico Police Department
Authorities are currently inclined to categorize the incident as gang-related, based on preliminary investigations. The Calexico Police Department remains resolute in its pursuit of the involved parties and urges the community to come forward with any pertinent information that may aid in the resolution of this case.
