The victim, identified as 37-year-old Theresa Gregg, was discovered unconscious and unresponsive on the floor of her bedroom by officers from the New York City Police Department (NYPD).
Tragedy struck on the day before Mother’s Day when a mother was found brutally stabbed to death in her Brooklyn apartment
Responding to a call for assistance at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, the officers found Gregg with puncture wounds on her neck and body. Gregg, a special officer employed by New York City’s Department of Homeless Services, had tragically succumbed to her injuries. Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene but pronounced her dead. The New York Post reported that Gregg’s 12-year-old twin daughters were the ones who raised the alarm after discovering their mother in an unconscious state. Sources suggested that her death may have occurred during a domestic dispute, with neighbors attesting to frequent arguments between Gregg and her boyfriend.
One neighbor shared their account of the situation
Stating that “I could hear them fighting, both of them yelling… They fight a lot. You can hear it pretty clearly.” As of now, the police have not made any arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing. The community mourns the loss of a mother on the eve of Mother’s Day, and authorities are diligently working to uncover the truth behind this tragic incident.
