Body of Murder Victim in 1969 to be Exhumed After Netflix’s Documentary Series Links Unsolved Case to Baltimore Nun’s Murder

The body of the murder victim in 1969 named Joyce Malecki will reportedly be exhumed after Netflix’s documentary series, “The Keepers” linked the unsolved case of the murder victim to the killing of Sister Cathy Cesnik in Baltimore.

According to a report published in CBS News, the murder victim never returned home from shopping and was later found dead on a military base after suffering from strangling and after decades of investigation, the case of the Baltimore murder victim remained unsolved.

With the same circumstances as how the Baltimore murder victim was killed, authorities suggested that the case of the nun’s murder was related to the cold case and revealed details about the primary suspect identified as Father Joseph Maskell who was known for sexually abusing students in the area.

Following the death of the nun in the same circumstances, the body of the Baltimore murder victim will be exhumed in an attempt to solve the cold cases, with the approval of the murder victim’s family.

Authorities continued investigating the cases as the murder victim’s family sought answers even after several decades to get the peace they wanted, Sky News reported.
