According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, an accumulation of gas emissions is thought to have formed the reason for a boat accident on the Lake of the Ozarks which injured sixteen individuals.
15 passengers were on the boat when the explosion occurred on Friday in the late afternoon. According to KMBC, it also hurt an individual who was on an island nearby.
From the boat, 3 individuals were removed.
Based on a Missouri State Highway Patrol incident report, the victims’ ages ranged from 6 to 43. 4 were younger than 12.
The injuries ranged from slight to mild, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
MSHP Troop F tweeted that “Troopers are looking into a boat fire at the Millstone Marina at the Lake of the Ozarks.” “A spark caused a fire after gas emissions built into the engine area.”
