Baltimore Mom and Partner Arrested After 4-Year-Old Son Dies from Severe Burns

A Baltimore mom named Alicia Lawson and her partner Shatika Lawson were arrested for child abuse after Alicia’s 4-year-old son, Malachi Lawson, died from severe burns while bathing.

During the investigation, the Baltimore mom and her partner claimed that they were bathing Malachi, but minutes after, they discovered his skin burning severely from his waist down and that it was already floating in the bathwater.

The Baltimore mom and her partner did not call authorities because they feared Malachi would be taken away from them if they reported the incident and decided to treat him alone inside their home, where the 4-year-old boy eventually died.
