Former personal attorney of Donald Trump, Atty. Michael Cohen, expressed shock at the special treatment accorded to his ex-client during his recent arrest at Fulton County Jail

District Attorney Fani Willis has indicted the former president and 18 co-defendants for their alleged involvement in attempting to subvert the outcome of Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.

Atty. Michael Cohen criticized the elaborate proceedings surrounding Trump’s arrival at the jail. Trump was accompanied by numerous police cars, Secret Service agents, and law enforcement personnel as he disembarked from his private plane. Atty. Michael Cohen contended that Trump‘s status as an indicted defendant warranted no such privileged treatment. Atty. Michael Cohen told Velshi, “The sight of Donald being brought to Fulton County Jail left me appalled. In New Jersey and now in Georgia, there were extravagant motorcades. But why? He’s just another indicted defendant.”

Atty. Michael Cohen questioned the financial burden imposed on American taxpayers and the people of Atlanta by such an ostentatious display

He asserted, “Was it worth the cost of deploying countless police officers? Did Atlanta’s citizens need to foot the bill for this display, as if he were Caesar returning triumphant to Rome? He faces 91 counts of indictment. This royal treatment is unwarranted.”

Trump is confronted with three separate criminal indictments related to his endeavors to overturn the election, the hush money directed to Stormy Daniels, and his post-presidential handling of classified information.
