A third video reveals that after the riverboat docked, numerous passengers confronted the pontoon boat group, resulting in another confrontation until police officers from the Alabama Police Department intervened.
Authorities from the Alabama Police Department have not identified the employee or suspects mentioned in the warrants.
Christa Owen, a witness, told ABC News on Monday that the individuals who attacked the dock worker did so after being repeatedly ordered to move the pontoon boat because it was blocking the ferry from docking.
Owen stated that after the owners “refused,” the dock worker who worked on her boat stepped off the ferry and attempted to move the pontoon boat, preventing Owen’s group from docking from their dinner cruise.
In the report released by the Alabama Police Department, when several more individuals joined in and attacked the employee, who was punched and kicked while on the ground, the conflict erupted.
“Help the brother!” shouts a spectator filming the melee.
One individual is seen swimming to the dock to help the worker who is being attacked. Onlookers intervened and pushed the individuals away from the worker, who is then seen rising up and heading down the dock on his own.
The Alabama Police Department is furthering its investigation into this intolerable action so that people who were involved will be given a corresponding punishment.
