Alabama Man Convicted of Double Murders for Killing Two Teenagers in 1999 Receives Life Imprisonment

An Alabama man named Coley McCraney who was convicted of double murders for killing two teenagers received life imprisonment.

During the investigation regarding the case of an Alabama man, the two teenagers identified as Tracie Hewlett and J.B. Beasley, both 17-year-old, went missing after attending a party in 1999 and the next day, authorities discovered their lifeless bodies in the trunk of Beasley’s vehicle with gunshot wounds in their heads.

Without any evidence found in the location, the case remained unsolved for almost 20 years until authorities conducted a crime scene DNA, where a sample of DNA matched the Alabama man’s DNA, which led to his arrest in 2019.

Families of Alabama Man’s Victims Still Mourn for Their Tragic Losses

Following the arrest, the Alabama man attempted to deny the murders and claimed that he only raped Beasley that day; however, he was still convicted of the murder charges.

The victims’ families still mourned their tragic losses after over two decades, and they hoped that the life sentence given to the Alabama man would bring them closure and peace of mind, AP News reported.
