After being found guilty on both counts of willful damage to a child on Wednesday, Jefferson might spend the rest of her life behind bars. The jury determined that Jefferson delayed too long to dial 911 after the infant started convulsing, Jefferson’s defense attorney informed KENS5.
The verdict on Jefferson is anticipated for Thursday afternoon.
The 4-year-old was given anesthesia while visiting Diamond Dental in Houston, where the boy was meant to have a tooth extracted, based on to court documents discovered by the news organization. According to reports, the infant started to convulse, and her oxygen and temperature levels became dangerously low.
