In the last month, there have been several earthquake incidents around the planet, which have greatly increased instability. In the past month alone, there have been significant earthquakes in California, Japan, the Philippines, and Iceland, a few of which were quite severe.
It is significant to remember that earthquake activity is predicted in these areas since they are either in faults or are a component of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Yet, as earthquakes are not common in this region, it was unexpected when a minor one occurred in New York City on January 2.
There was a minor earthquake in Queens, with a Richter Scale of only 1.7. Even though there are very few shocks like this in that region, many New Yorkers are worried about it.
