Accused of attempting to murder a Michigan election clerk is an Indiana resident

A man from Carmel, Indiana, who allegedly threatened to murder a Michigan election clerk was detained and is due in court on Friday.

Andrew Nichols allegedly assaulted the clerk in a message that included the following statement: “We’re monitoring your… lips talk regarding why you believe there are no abnormalities… you frauded off America of a legitimate election… What’s this? You will be charged for it. You’ll have to pay for it. While you do not anticipate it, ten million or more patriots will gather around you, and your tiny, immature deep security agency won’t have enough time to secure you since they’ll be paid off and we’ll destroy you.”

According to the DOJ, Nichols is accused of committing one count of threatening communication between states and could spend up to 5 years in jail if found guilty.
