A tourist from Georgia sadly died at Pismo Beach after getting struck by waves

According to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, a Georgian visitor perished on Saturday morning at Pismo Beach after being struck by waves.

An incident happened in the beach entry area on Price Street, next to the Sea Crest Hotel, at about nine in the morning.

The Sheriff’s Office’s public information officer, Tony Cipolla, stated that Brindha Shunmuganathan, 39, and her loved ones were lodging at a nearby motel. They decided to go down to the water and take some pictures of the waves.

Shunmuganathan and her 2 children were knocked down by a huge wave that slammed them in that same instant.

The two kids were saved by the family, based on Cipolla, while the mom became stranded on a bed of pebbles.
