A teenager is accused of boasting on Instagram regarding killing a boy in front of his mom

A 14-year-old boy was reportedly shot and murdered by a teenager in Washington, DC, according to authorities. The teen then bragged about the crime on an Instagram broadcast.

The Metropolitan Police claim that on November 3, 14-year-old Niko Estep was fatally shot by 17-year-old Lorenzo Thompson when his mother was there.

Three days after the fatal shooting, on November 10, court documents were filed, supposedly revealing that Mr. Thompson was “bragging” regarding the event on social media. He appeared to be celebrating with others and had “no guilt throughout this broadcast,” according to the prosecution.

Detectives claim that Mr. Thompson said, “Got him” throughout the Instagram Live video. He is now charged with second-degree murder while carrying a weapon after it is alleged that he fired twelve shots in a matter of 7 seconds.
