A Kansas City teacher was placed on leave after showing offensive videos in class

Following the showing of offensive videos on a screen to the class, a Kansas City teacher was recently put on leave.

After an occurrence on Wednesday, a teacher at Kansas City Public Schools’ Central Middle School was put on leave. The district did not give any information on the exact substance of the offensive videos that were involved.

According to the KCPS school district, the teacher was removed from the classroom on Wednesday and was immediately placed on leave.

The affected children have been in contact with our personnel, and parents were notified the same day. To assist both kids and staff, KCPS has been sure to provide resources like counselors and trauma-informed clinicians.
