A Hawaii man was arrested in their house in an upscale Honolulu last February 2022. Police officers said that the Hawaii man shot Jon Tokuhara, an acupuncturist who had an affair with his wife. The Hawaii man discovered the illicit affair through Instagram messages and videos.
The defense attorney of the Hawaii man said that the acupuncturist had a track record of having affairs with women who had families, and the partners of these women would have had the same motive.
