A flight from American Airlines to Europe had passengers believing they’d be landing in London… In reality, they arrived in Canada

During a mid-flight medical crisis, travelers on an American Airlines flight from Philadelphia to London Heathrow on Thursday night believed they were about to arrive at any of the city’s other airports but later realized they had landed in Canada.

While the travelers were left detained in Gander, Newfoundland, for over ten hours following the medical distraction, Diane Keane, an individual on American Airlines flight AA728, reveals in a TikTok capture how she ended up “kidnapped” by the airline.

The intended departure time for Flight AA728 from Philadelphia to London was approximately 11 p.m. on Thursday, but owing to an unexpected problem, the plane didn’t take off until nearly 2 a.m., according to View from the Wing.
