A Contra Costa County man is distressed after all the gardening tools he needs to work gone after someone stole them from his truck.

The gardening tools were taken minutes after he arrived at a worksite last week, and the incident put his livelihood in trouble

Javier Quezada of Quezada Garden Service said he could not understand these people stole his gardening tools. He worked hard for 37 years every day. His gardening tools were stolen in mere minutes.

He had just started working in Berkeley last week when someone stole his gardening tools from a work truck filled with thousands of dollars of gardening tools. He said that all his gardening tools were taken.

The robbers hopped from the driver’s side, opened the truck, stole the gardening tools, and went in an unknown direction. The victim’s daughter said it was a black car, four-door, and tinted windows.

A surveillance camera captured some scenarios of the stolen gardening tools incident

Javier was supposed to fly back to Mexico, but his passport, documents, and $4,000 in cash were also taken aside from the gardening tools and truck. But the gardening tools for his livelihood bother him most, especially his brand-new truck.

His family was grateful he was safe, but Javier needed the gardening tools of his trade to keep working.
