The owners of ChatGPT, a well-known artificial intelligence chatbot platform, OpenAI, changed their usage guidelines to remove a ban on utilizing its technology for “military and warfare.”

Before January 10 of this year, OpenAI’s usage policy expressly prohibited using its innovations for “weapons development, military, and battle.” However, that policy has subsequently been revised to just forbid use that could “bring harm to others,” per a Computer World story.

An OpenAI representative said Fox News Digital, “Our policy is not to permit our resources to be utilized to injure people, build weapons, for communications surveillance, or to harm others or destroy property.” Nonetheless, there are use cases related to national security that support our goals.
